I’ve always associated myself with The Sun card, and when I recently went through a break-up, my world turned up-side down and I spend some time contemplating the shadow side of myself. The Moon tarot card was invaluable with helping me through this journey of healing, self love and introspection.
When I spoke to Bec and Joey about shooting them for the Moon Tarot card, I’d never met them before but was overwhelmed by their warmth and decisiveness to shoot this card. Really tapping into their feelings of desire, intuition and trusting your gut, they came with a power- reversed play on the wolf and Little Red Riding Hood. Playing around with a digital projection of the moon and casting shadows was such a wonderfully powerful and tender experience to be part of. Thank you to the both of you for sharing your story and your interpretation of the Moon Tarot card – it’s magick!
18. The Moon – Bec & Joey
Reminder, if you also want to shoot YOUR perspective on a card that has been created you can! I will be producing a tarot deck with multiples of quite a few cards to share different stories and perspectives of our beautiful community.
Just because a card has been shot, does not mean we can’t create a second one. If you resonate or connect with a particular card, then I would love to shoot it with you. The final deck may contain multiples of some cards to ensure diverse story telling and inclusion of as broad a spectrum of the Queer community as possible.
